Poetry Reading by Nachoem Wijnberg, 2018 Winner of the P.C. Hooft Prize

Professor Wijnberg’s poetry and prose has won many awards and has been translated into a number of languages, including English, French, German, Italian, and Chinese. In addition to being a renowned poet, Nachoem Wijnberg has degrees in law and economics, a doctorate in management science, and is currently Professor of Cultural Entrepreneurship and Management at the University of Amsterdam Business School.

This evening Professor Wijnberg will read from his Divan of Ghalib (White Pine Press, 2016), in which he disguises himself as his great Indian predecessor Mirza Ghalib, as well as from his Of Great Importance (Punctum, 2018), in which he discusses taxes and debts, stocks, citizenship and labor contracts, notaries and accountants, factories and strikes, how to make money, and how to win elections. We look forward to seeing you all at this unique event.
