Fields of Interest: Contemporary German culture, European studies, Digital Humanities, Corpus Linguistics
Anna Bonazzi is a Ph.D. student in UCLA’s Department of Germanic Languages. Her research interests include contemporary media and culture in the German, French and Italian speaking areas; issues of migration and multilingualism; and digital humanities. She speaks English, Italian, German, and French, has an elementary knowledge of Spanish, Russian, Yiddish and Tamil, and has a reading knowledge of Greek and Latin. Her current study interests include postcolonialism and critical theory. Anna also works at the NewsScape TV news archive of UCLA’s Communication Department, where she participates in video organization, digitization, segmentation and analysis projects. Apart from that, Anna enjoys baking, hiking and knitting.
